Thermocoagulation (RF current)

Thermocoagulation (RF current)

  • Thermocoagulation is a safe, comfortable, non-surgical cosmetic procedure that employs a tiny pinpoint probe, which is gently applied to all types of skin tags to treat various benign lesions and skin irregularities.
  • This treatment delivers high-frequency energy, resulting in only a slight prickly sensation of heat.
  • The current produces a vibration of water molecules in the tissues that creates the heat necessary to coagulate the blood in the capillaries.
  • The pinpoint probe accurately targets the lesion while leaving the surrounding skin untouched.
  • The treated lesion dehydrates and forms a crust immediately during treatment, then exfoliates and fall off throughout the healing process, (7 to 10 days).
  • Safe for delicate areas around the eyes, it effectively addresses lesions on the scalp without damaging any hair or inhibiting hair growth.
  • It is effective in treating most superficial facial veins.
  • Most blemishes will be removed in 1 to 3 sessions.

At Gaber Consultants, Medical Aesthetic Clinic, we use the Vascu Lyse 2G RF a high-end professional equipment, combining cutting-edge technology and extensive know-how.

Before and After

After Treatment

Brown spots on legs and pigmentation will first darken and then lighten during the healing and cell renewal process. The treated lesion dehydrates, crusts, exfoliates, and sloughs off. Pigmentation in brown spots on feet is situated within layers of the skin. Darker spots will require more than one treatment spaced at least 30 days apart.

For vascular lesions like spider veins or red cherry angiomas, the tiny pinpoint probe accurately targets the damaged capillary or red mole, causing it to blanch, dehydrate, and shrink. It is then absorbed and eliminated through the lymphatic system. During this process, spider veins may temporarily darken, resembling a cat scratch. You might notice some fine scabbing in the treated area for a few days; during this time, it can be covered with mineral makeup.

Thermocoagulation FAQ

Over time, due to several factors, capillary walls may lose their elasticity and become permanently enlarged. Capillaries located close to the dermo-epidermal junction layer may then become visible.

Thermocoagulation is a cosmetic skin treatment that utilizes a high-frequency current to enhance the appearance of your skin by removing unwanted brown spots, seborrheic keratosis, skin tags, and spider veins. A certified Medical Aesthetics professional employs a tiny pinpoint probe to precisely deliver gentle micro-current heat energy to the skin, effectively dehydrating and eliminating benign lesions and superficial spider veins.

A very thin probe delivers a small burst of heat directly to the brown spots, lesions, or spider veins, dehydrating them, causing them to collapse, and closing up. Skin imperfections scab,
heal, and disappear. Final results are typically achieved in as little as three to seven days.

Most individuals experience only mild discomfort, with a slight heat sensation occurring intermittently throughout the procedure. A numbing cream is applied to larger lesions or sensitive areas.

For a few hours, the treated area might appear red and slightly swollen. Tiny scabs may form, but they typically fall off within 7 to 10 days.

Most treated veins disappear after just one session. New spider veins may develop over time.

The treatment is usually quite quick, depending on the number of spots, lesions, or veins that require attention. Appointments can be scheduled for 30 minutes for a few lesions, 45 minutes for several lesions, or 60 to 120 minutes for multiple areas or a complete area, such as the full face, neck, or back.

Thermocoagulation is a same-day procedure, allowing you to resume your normal activities right away.

It's a great option for those with small, visible spider veins on their faces.

Generally, yes, when performed by a qualified professional. Scarring, hyperpigmentation, and hypopigmentation are possible but rarely occur. Due to slight pain and discomfort, treatments are not recommended for pregnant women. It is always best to consult a doctor to discuss any concerns or unusual changes in the skin.
